This is an excellent technical/spy thriller set in the U.K., full of twists and turns, but there's a lot more to it, and I think any intelligent reader could choose how many levels they want to follow it on. There's the spy story on the one hand, which would be enough to keep you happy if that's all you want, but the book also has a lot of depth in it about the big issues - the nature of time, what keeps society together, just to name two.In this way the book reminded me a little of The First Rule of Ten (Tenzing Norbu, Dharma Detective), which has Buddhism weaved in to the crime story. This author takes a similar basic approach in that philosophical threads run through the story and are explored in the dialogue between characters, the difference here being that the philosophical elements are linked not to Buddhism but to the big stuff in modern physics - and I have to say it is explained well.
The writing style is very easy to read and the writer has a knack for creating action scenes that are fast-moving and absorbing.
I would recommend this book to people who are looking for a fast-paced read that can be enjoyed on a lot of levels, and those who like fiction that gives them something to think about.

This book had too much technological talk. It also didn't flow. It was very confusing and I still am not sure what happened at the end of the book.
Nothing special. Another alleged suspense book, but not all that suspenseful.
